Your Custom Hide product is made of vegetable tanned leather and requires very little maintenance.

We recommend conditioning it using a good quality conditioner such as "Chamberlain's leather milk" "Lexol" or "ArmorAll 2-3 times a year to replace the natural oils and to prevent it from drying out. If a different product is to be used such as saddle soap, we recommend testing a small area first (e.g. bottom of the case) to find out how the leather reacts.

Small scratches and nicks on your briefcase can be best treated by rubbing the affected area firmly with a dampened eyeglass cleaning cloth or a soft tissue which will bring up the natural oils in the leather to the surface (especially during the break in period) If this method proves ineffective, and/or the scratches are deep, we recommend repeating the same procedure with one of the above-mentioned conditioners.
